Single Page Interactive PDF with Numbering x of xx

I am trying to create a single page Interactive PDF (with a Barcode) that when printed will print sequential numbers, similar to a UPS package or page number x of x, where the total number is entered on the form. I.e. Carton 1 of 104 then Carton 2 of 104 and so on. I have gotten as far as a completed document but cannot figure out how to handle the numbering. Any help is appreciated.
