Protecting a Form from Editing by Other Parties

I've created a form which I would like to protect to the extent that it cannot be edited or manipulated by other users, but the fields would still be accessible enought to enter date into them...if that makes sense.  Basically, I want to lock it down to the point that the only thing they can do is type in the fields.  Is this possible?
